A visit to our museums is a travel in time and an experience that will last for a long time. Come and let us tempt you with a walk through the city or a visit to one of the mines and blast furnace. Why don't you borrow a hoe and try to find your own special mineral.

The old homestead museums are located very beautiful in the urban district and during the summer they really blossom; it is well worth a visit, the same goes for all the churches.

We have got a few nature reserves of different characters and many different kinds of orchids. During spring the Tibergs point is incredible beautifully with its sea of yellow cowslip.

Why not go for a hike at the Brattforsheath with its unique nature and just a stone's throw a way you'll find the old war airfield, this is something we highly recommend you.

The statue of Nils Ferlin sitting on a park bench along the river Skillerälven is strongly associated with Filipstad and is “a must” if you are a guest in our Town.

The two brothers John and Nils Ericsson were born in Långban, the two of them got very successful both in Sweden and internationally. If you get a chance you should visit the John Ericsson mausoleum at the east cemetery in Filipstad, where he is buried.

For added value you are welcome to book our experienced guides who will give you a good insight of present and past times.
