Sweden's closest skiing resort

Sunne is a ski resort that has everything - from Värmland's highest lift capacity to a modern cross-country stadium. The facilities for alpine skiing include a ski school, ski rental, a ski shop, sports service, a restaurant and a lodge. There are ten descents that vary in difficulty. Four of them are illuminated and there is a special area for snowboarders.

Akka Stadium is the name of Sunne's ski stadium and there are several cross country tracks that start here, 6 km of which are illuminated. Sunne's track system is qualified for World Cup Championships.

For families, Rokkmakk cottage in Ängen is a winter paradise. There you can choose between sledding, winter fishing or cross country skiing. Inside the cosy Rokkmakk cottage, next to the glow of a crackling open fire, your hostess Greta serves the best waffles in Värmland. You are welcome to eat your own box lunch there as well.
