Ängenleden

Start -> Walking path -> 4. Ängen -> Map

The walking paths lie in the area where the first finnish emigrants had settled from ca. 1550
til the end of the 19th century. Many of the habitations are left in form of basements and cultivated
land.
Ängenleden - a 16 km long path - has its extension round Lake Ängsjön. The path mostly leads through forest over the highest hills of the area. The cottage Rokkmakkstugan is one of the starting points for the path where you can park your car. From Ängen you can walk further south to Bjurbäcken, Tobyn, Mangskog - Humsjön or to Slobyn via Röstorp, Arvika Commune. You will find informations at Rokkmakkstuga in Ängen and in the southeast bay of lake Ängsjö.
