The walking paths in the area where the first immigrants from Finland had their houses from ca. 1550 until the end of the 19th century. Many of the habitations are left ruins and cultivatedland.

The area south of Lake Mången is very interesting. Many old mines are situated there.
You can reach them via the walking path no. 145 - 153. The mine circle is 8,5 km long.

Among others you can find remainders of two ironworks, a cableway, a hostelry, a quarry and
slag heaps. The mine Källaregruvan no. 148 is worth to be seen especially worth seeing.

Don’t make a fire because mostly it’s a very long distance to the water. You will find
informations at Kalvhöjden and Tiskaretjärn.
At the mine Storgruvan in Mången you will find special informations. The numbers on the map
and on the description refer to signs in the nature with the same numbers.
